Flowers are beautiful in any state and that includes the dried variety. A vase of dried flowers is not only attractive but somehow speaks of romance and memories. Follow the easy steps below and you will have a wonderful dried flower arrangement that will easily rival fresh flowers.

Arranging the Dried Flowers
1. Choose the dried flowers that you will use in your arrangement. In general you will need three kinds. The first is your main or focus flower, the second will be a filler to put in between the main flowers, and the third will be a dried leaf. For our example we will use dried roses, dried baby's breath, and dried fern.
2. Select your vase or container and determine whether it will be free standing in the middle of a table, or on a shelf against the wall. The reason this is important is because when it's in the middle of a table it will be viewed from all sides, so your taller filler flower and leaves will be more in the center of the arrangement so that the shorter roses can be seen on the outskirts of the vase. If the vase will be against the wall, you will place the taller pieces nearer the back so that the shorter roses will be in front. The idea is not to hide the shorter pieces behind the taller.
3. Using a pair of scissors cut the dried pieces so that the tallest are the filler flowers, the second tallest will be the leaves, and the shortest will be your roses. Be careful not to cut the roses too short,. You want them to be several inches above the mouth of the vase.
4. Arrange the flowers so that all can be seen, with the roses in front and the leaves and fillers dispersed throughout the arrangement.
5. Gently hold the flowers in place and slowly pour your decorative beads or marbles into the bottom of the vase. Dried flowers are very light and the beads will help hold the pieces in place so they won't easily move.
