Getting a beer keg refilled is simple and quick. As long as you are of legal age to drink (in the United States of America, that is 21), all you need is a way to get the beer keg to a liquor store, the money to get it refilled and a legal identification card. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
1. Load the beer keg into a vehicle that has a large trunk or onto the flatbed of a pickup. You will probably need one to two people with you, as it will take around two fit men to lift the full beer keg.
2. Go to your local liquor store and bring the empty beer keg shell to the counter. Tell the store clerk or manager that you need to refill a keg. Be prepared to present your identification, showing you are of legal drinking age.
3. Decide what type of beer you want to fill the keg with. Prices vary, so choose one that seems like a good deal to you, or choose the best-tasting. This all depends upon your budget and who is drinking the beer. Many women choose a lighter beer without strong flavor. Guys tend to lean towards darker beer with strong flavor.
4. Wait for the beer keg to be refilled. This can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Pay for the keg once it is refilled.
5. Lift the keg back into the trunk or onto the flatbed and secure it with bungee cords, if necessary, and transport it to where you are taking the keg.
6. Replace the tap, then enjoy the beer.
