The Enpac 2500 is a handheld portable data collector that is used to monitor noise and vibration analysis for rotating motors like those found in pumps, fans and gear boxes. Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the Enpac 2500 works in conjunction with Windows-based Emonitor software. The Enpac 2500 features advanced processor technology and faster auto ranging options that reduce measurement collection time. One function of the measuring unit is phase analysis, which measures different operation speeds.
Instructions
1. Attach the vibration transducer wire to its corresponding port on the Enpac, and then connect the transducer to the motor being tested.
2. Enter the data collection screen on the Enpac and then press the "Read/Ok" tab to calculate the phase range. The Enpac 2500 adjusts the maximum frequency.
3. Select the instrument configuration screen, and then press the "Auto Advance" key to the "On" position.
4. Flip the "Fast Averaging" key to "On" to collect the number of phase averages. The number of averages appears in the middle of the screen.
5. Depress the "8" key to flip back and forth between the spectrum and the
phase tables.
