Fix Canon Ink Tubes

If you have ever purchased a replacement cartridge for your Canon printer, you already know how expensive those cartridges can be. With so much money on the line, it just makes sense to get as much out of every ink cartridge as you can. If the ink cartridge in your Canon printer is not working properly, taking the time to fix it can save you a lot of money. Many times you can repair your malfunctioning Canon inkjet cartridge and get more life out of it.

Instructions

1. Lift the top cover of your Canon printer and remove the print cartridges. Set the print cartridges on your work surface with the metal connectors facing up.

2. Wipe the ink cartridge carriers inside your Canon printer with a soft lint-free cloth. Continue cleaning the printer until all paper dust and ink residue is removed.

3. Dip a cotton swab in warm water and clean the bottom of each print cartridge thoroughly. Clean the entire metal surface of each cartridge until no more ink residue or paper dust remain.

4. Clean the metal surface of the ink cartridge with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol if any ink residue remains. You might need to use the alcohol if there are stubborn stains on the metal surface of the cartridge.
