Metal Frame Easy Set Pool Instructions

Cooling off in the heat of the summer in your own pool is convenient, relaxing and economical. A metal frame Easy Set pool takes minimal effort to assemble and provides ample amounts of enjoyment throughout the season. The metal frame takes less than an hour to assemble when following some simple instructions.

Setting Up the Horizontal Beams

Unfold your pool, lay it out flat and check for defects in manufacturing. The power filter mounting place on the pool will need to be 10 to 21 feet from the electrical outlet you will use for the pump. Gather and separate your metal pipes and Tee Fittings for the frame assembly. Begin with the shorter pipes, which will be your horizontal beams, and insert them into the horizontal pockets of the pool walls all the way around. The pockets are found along the top edge of the walls. The holes on the pipes should be on top and bottom of the pipe, sticking out of each end of the pockets so that it can be inserted into the Tee Fittings. Aligning the holes on the pipe with the holes on the Tee Fitting, insert the pipe into the fitting. Wait to insert the pins through the holes until all of the pipes have Tee Fittings, since slight adjustments may need to take place for them all to fit. Insert pipes into Tee Fittings all the way around your pool. Install the last fitting onto the the end of one of the pipes and lift up both of the last two pipes in order to get them inserted into the Tee Fitting. If they are angled toward each other and then lowered together, the horizontal beams will slide into the fitting with little struggle. Now you can insert all the pins through the holes of both the fittings and pipes until the pin snaps into place.

Attaching the Legs of the Pool

The longer pipes will serve as the vertical legs of the pool. Insert the leg down through the belt running around the center of the pool, then connect them to the top frame by pushing the spring pin buttons in as you insert it into the Tee Fitting. Rotate the leg until the button pops through the Tee Fitting hole, snapping the leg into place. Continue this process all the way around the pool. Push the leg caps onto the bottom of each leg. Check all of the fittings, legs and beams to be sure they are properly in place, then gently pull on the bottom of each leg to line them up perpendicularly to the horizontal beams.

Installing the Power Filter

Place one gasket on the four alignment pins on the skimmer canister and hold it up to the outside of the pool on the mounting location for the filter. The pins will fit through the four holes in the wall of the pool. Hold it in place while you add the inside gasket over the pins on the inside of the pool. Screw the face plate on over the alignment pins to create a water-tight seal. Attach the pump assembly by reaching inside the canister and placing a nut over the housing inlet. Install the wall fitting gasket over the pool wall fitting threads and place it into the hole of the pool wall from the inside. Use a washer and nut to secure it to the pool, but do not overtighten or the pool may wrinkle. Install the elbow, diverter fitting and locking ring onto the wall fitting and place the ends of the hose on the elbow and the pump using clamps. Place the skimmer basket and filter cartridge into the canister and lock the top of the canister in place by turning it. Attach the Weir to the inside of the pool by pushing it into the grooves. It should be able to move freely with the water.

Filling the Pool

Make sure the drain plug is secure and fill your pool with one inch of water. Smooth out any wrinkles and be sure your pool is level by checking that the depth of the water is the same all the way around the pool. If the pool fills with 2 inches of water on any side before the center of the pool collects water, the pool is not level enough and your pool could be damaged when it is completely filled. Once this is satisfactory, continue filling the pool with water, and pull out the legs of the pool as necessary to keep them perpendicular to the horizontal beams. Fill your pool until the water reaches a height between the marked minimum and maximum levels on the pump inside the pool. Check with your local pool dealer for water quality and treatments needed before using your pool.
