Ceiling Insulation Needs

A home ceiling.

Insulation in a home ceiling can be a great way to keep heat from escaping during the colder months of the year. Properly insulating your home can also save money on utility bills.

Pitched Roof

For homes with pitched roofs (roofs that come to a point at the top), insulation needs to be installed in the attic space of the home.

Rating

To properly insulate your home, any insulation purchased for your ceiling must have at least a rating of R-45.

Flat Roofs

For homes with flat roofs, insulation will have to fill any attic space that exists in order to work properly.

Small Attics

For homes with small attic spaces, insulation material will have to be of high density in order to work properly.

Consultations

Improperly installing insulation materials can lead to ventilation problems in your home. Before making any ceiling insulation decisions, it is important to consult a licensed specialist.
