Instructions New, name this layer "Texture", > OK. Or duplicate this layer, right-click > Duplicate Layer. Fill new layer with a "light gray".
3. Next, to Layer > Layer Options, with these settings: Opacity (50%), Mode (Normal), > OK. This layer is now semi-translucent, and both colors of the two layers will show.
4. Create some pattern on the "Texture" layer for our drywall, Filter > Texture > Craquelure. Apply these to the layer: Crack Spacing (44), Crack Depth (3), Crack Brightness (10), > OK.
5. Still on the "Texture" layer, go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter and apply the following settings: Spray Radius (8), Smoothness (15). Click OK. This creates a more random drywall pattern distribution that appear more natural.
6. Combine the layers, Layer > Merge All. Save work then we are done with the Photoshop dry wall texture lesson.
