Get Rid Of Plaster Walls

You can break down plaster walls and dispose of them with the trash

If you're renovating an older home, you may have to remove plaster walls. Your contractor might be able to remove these for you, but if you're doing your own work, you'll need to dispose of them yourself. Fortunately, disposing of plaster walls is easier than taking them down.

Instructions

1. Put on gloves, eye protection and a respirator. You'll need to wear these the entire time you're dealing with the plaster walls to prevent inhalation of the dust.

2. Cut or break the walls into manageable pieces --- only as big as you can carry easily.

3. Place the wall pieces in heavy-duty garbage bags or into a Bagster, an inexpensive portable dumpster.

4. Put the garbage bags out with your regular garbage or call Bagster for a pick-up when your Bagster is full. If you have more than your municipal trash collection will take in garbage bags on the regular pick-up day, call them for a special pick-up.
